Cynthia Bavo Harris is a change management and innovation strategist with 14 years of experience in helping organizations build and maintain relationships with their stakeholders. By leveraging her diverse background in strategic communications, knowledge management, human resource management, and tech entrepreneurship she supports organizations through periods of growth and transition.

Before joining FCS, Cynthia co-founded and ran Jamii for Good, a non profit arm of Jamii Media. Here, she spearheaded the development of era-defining digital-first publications that prioritize human interest journalism and that are commercially viable. She also served as a consultant and advisor for several development programs including the EU-funded Gender Transformative Action Program (GTAP) at the Ministry of Community Development; AFDB's African Energy Market Place Tanzania, the preparatory meeting for Mission 300 Energy Summit; and the GSMA Foundation.

Cynthia holds a Masters of Arts in Corporate Communications from Daystar University (Nairobi) and a Bachelors of Science in International Business Administration with a bias in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from USIU Africa (Nairobi). She is an alumnus of YALI Mandela Washington, Tony Elumelu Fellowship and Injini Edtech Incubator where she raised a pre-seed round for her Edtech startup, MyJobPass.

Cynthia is a curator of stories, experiences and community. She founded the first tech community and podcast in the Tanzania tech ecosystem, Startup Grind Dar es Salaam, which is now powered by Google for Startups. She currently hosts a podcast, Binti & Her Travels on Tanzania Digest.
