Resource Mobilization Specialist

Daniel is passionate about leveraging technology and innovation to drive sustainable economic and social development in Tanzania. He currently serves as the Resource Mobilization Specialist at the Foundation for Civil Society, where he facilitates strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts to support impactful projects. Previously, Daniel was part of the Programs team at the Foundation, helping to launch the Trademark Africa project, which focused on improving consumer protection and facilitating cross-border trade in Tanzania.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Economics (with honors) from the United States International University - Africa and a Post Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business from Arizona State University, Daniel brings robust analytical and strategic skills to his roles. Daniel has accumulated extensive international experience across Kenya, South Africa, the UK, and Tanzania, primarily in finance, project management, partnerships, resource mobilization, and business development. Daniel's diverse professional background spans management consulting, NGOs, media, and tech startups.

Additionally, Daniel's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish a pioneering startup focused on empowering rural Tanzanian women by aggregating women's group data to establish creditworthiness, thus facilitating access to loans without traditional collateral requirements. Deeply driven by resilience, compassion, humility, and determination, he is  committed to creating solutions that uplift marginalized communities, foster gender equality, and promote environmental sustainability. In their leisure time, Daniel enjoys exercising and watching sports.
